Abu Dhabi Taxi Examine App

Will not open nor find my location.

I have never had issues with this app. But recently, for 4 consecutive days whenever trying to make a booking, I get the notification that “there are no taxis in my area, or my booking was unsuccessful, I should try again” I tried ti book again, and said the same thing After 10 minutes two taxi drivers were calling me yo let me know they were waiting outside. Now when I walk out I don’t know which taxi to take and the drivers are fighting.! Can you sort this issue out.

The app regularly says it can’t find a taxi, but then books one anyway, after I found another ride. It also doesn’t tell the driver of cancelations. Several times I have had a cancelled taxi arrive at the same time my Careem arrives with a confused driver.

Can not create an account with a US number making the app useless.

Please repair the app, since last month it does not work on Iphone ios 18

When a pre-booking for the airport is made, is it reasonable for the conditions to state that the booking is not confirmed and depends on the availability of taxis, with the company disclaiming any responsibility? When a booking is confirmed by the customer, it should be confirmed by the company. The taxi policies in Abu Dhabi need to be revised.

Why can’t you allow registering with other phone numbers from all around the world? United Arab Emirates trying to do anything to attract more tourist and only number I can use is UAE. This is absolutely wrong I cannot register even with my Saudi Arabian phone number. I need to order Taxi for my wife and baby to go from the airport to zoo and back and this is impossible. Your phone numbers are not working as well …. unbelievable

The app will have me agree to terms and conditions in English but then I cannot select English as an option- it works if I switch to Arabic but then I cannot switch it back. When I force quit the app from the screen to choose between English and Arabic it doesn't load again.

While the app does successfully pair riders with drivers, the location tool doesn’t seem to function well. Each time I use the app, I need to call the driver to give accurate directions because the app also doesn’t provide them with a clear pick-up point. The map picture isn’t very clear, and the live location of the driver takes longer than other car-hailing apps to update. My travel partner was unable to cancel rides after booking.

This app is useless you gotta be only in city center for it to work. Other side of the Abu Dhabi region it always hangs and starts to give you errors. 1 out of 100 times I was able to book a taxi. payment doesn’t work, well I carry cash. Now driver doesn’t have change of 50aed. Overall taxi service is bad and they made an application to Match the service. Well done

Why have a pick up pin and drop pin if driver is not trained to use it ? Wasted time waiting and directing driver for both pick up and drop.

After the app tells me there isnt any taxis nearby, I cant try to order a taxi a second time even when i can see taxis in the applications map it keeps stating that no taxis are available nearby.

Most of the time this is a great app. Very easy to use and convenient. The major issue is that the payment part of the app goes down too often. If it’s down you have to have cash and the drivers don’t always have change. Especially first thing in the morning.

Please add option to add tip for the driver. Thank you.

You need to improve the satellite location information on this app. Two days in a row I have tried to use this app and it is telling me that it cannot get a signal when all the other apps on my phone work perfectly fine. Today, I was trying to book a taxi from my city center Masdar (which does not even come up in your app as a location). The app was just spinning and spinning not giving me a driver. The information desk at my city center Masdar was kind enough to call me a taxi. While your app was spinning and spinning not giving me a driver. I then hit cancel on your app and it would not let me cancel. I closed the app and then two drivers show up. One saying I had booked him on the app and telling me my name and information when his information never showed up on my app. I can’t even submit this review in your app right now because it says there is no connection each time I hit submit.

Driver does not know my location many times even when I call and give directions. I had to call multiple taxis and ended up being late. All drivers don’t use WhatsApp so sending location does not work.

The map does not work very well, and canceling doesn’t always work. Often times I will cancel a ride and it will not go through. This makes it even harder considering microphone on my phone is broken so I cannot call to cancel.

So awful service I have never received in my life. You could not rate the service of the app or the service of the taxi itself with plus rate . I’m giving it -10.

The problem is that Abu Dhabi banned Uber and Careem, thinking they can come up with an app of their own. It’s their right to do so; however, they should deliver by educating the drivers and if need be giving them smart phones. Everytime you require a taxi, you have to give directions. It’s a headache!

This app is a waste of time, hardly works.

Sometimes i make advanced bookings for the next day only to have them canceled?!? Which means that i am late to school.

Cannot use the app at all because I do not have a local phone number. Useless!!! 😡😡😡😡😡

I don’t understand why 05X Area Phone Codes are the only codes you can enter. I’m here on business and don’t have an 05X Area Phone Code and therefore cannot use the app.

Just doesn't work anymore

Once youve downloaded a few times, the prefix for you cell phone can not be selected makes booking a taxi in a jam a nightmare.

Over all its ok but needs some improvement like map.

I'd like to download and use the app but it won't load. App support link goes to a non-existing site.

When I try to open it, suddenly it crashes every time

I have tried many times but it's crashed all the time and needs more updates on it.

I am a tourist visiting AD, expending here and helping to create jobs for the community. I can't use the app because it need an UAE cellphone number... useless. I have several taxi apps for other cities around the world and they are great help tools for the tourists specially with the language barrier. Not this one...

When trying to register to get started with the app, the error message "unable to register please try again later" appears. This app ain't ready for showtime yet.

When i try to input OTP, there is no way to see the 'verify otp' button as the it was blocked by the keyboard for which cannot be unhide. Not user friendly on these part . I was stuck on this bug. need to improve. Am using iPhone 6plus

Every time I try to register the screen goes black and eventually the app crashes. Other than that, great app. Please fix soon.

I would like to complain about the method in which the driver locates me, the passenger. Each time I book a taxi I have to spend around 10 minutes explaining where I am. I live in a place where there are no nearby landmarks making it quite hard for the taxi to know where I am. The app is not useful as the driver(usually) does not have a gps and cannot just use a gps to locate me. Also the app updates the location of the driver very slowly making it hard for me to simply tell the driver where to turn.

Quite possible the buggiest app I've ever downloaded from the App Store. Ever heard of testing??

So, if you're a visitor here with a mobile phone from outside the UAE, and want to use a cab, you can't use this app. So, you are not a desired customer of this service. Weak.

The good thing about it is that you can easily call a taxi but the problem is that when I cancelled by booking, the taxi still called me. Maybe a verification or not? But it is good that AD made this app. Well done.

I opened the application, got greeted by the registration page, entered my details, verified the OTP via SMS all good so far until "Failed to load map" keeps on popping up infinitely right when I open the map, not allowing me to use or do anything in the app.

A few glitches like not always able to locate map, but otherwise great. Gives me taxis car reg so I know if it's the correct one and eta. Well done!!!
